Blues Heritage
KFFA Radio - King Biscuit Time
Home of King Biscuit Time, the longest-running daily blues radio show in America since 1941.

KFFA Radio in Helena is home to "King Biscuit Time," the longest-running daily blues radio program in the United States. First broadcast on November 21, 1941, the show originally featured Sonny Boy Williamson II and Robert Lockwood Jr., sponsored by King Biscuit Flour.
Today, the show continues to broadcast live weekdays at 12:15 PM, hosted by "Sunshine" Sonny Payne. Visitors can watch the live broadcast through the studio window on Cherry Street - a unique opportunity to witness living blues history in action.
The show's legacy helped establish Helena as a crucial stop on the Blues Trail and directly inspired the King Biscuit Blues Festival, now one of the largest free blues festivals in the nation.
