Our signature room honors the home's original proprietor, whose legacy lives on within these elegant walls. Positioned at the front of the house on the second floor, this room is bathed in natural light from large windows overlooking Biscoe Street. A beautiful fireplace adds period charm while a luxurious king-size bed with green tea gel-infused memory foam mattress ensures restful sleep.
Historical Note
William A. Short, a cotton merchant, built this house in 1904 with his wife, Sallie. He lost much of his fortune when the cotton market collapsed and sold the house in 1917. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
